Tbilisi, January 14 (Xinhua) — Georgian wine export prices have shown a rising trend in 2025, demonstrating the strengthening of its position in the premium segment of the global market. The Georgian National Wine Agency reported this on Wednesday.
According to the agency, the average export price of 1 liter of Georgian wine increased in 2025 compared to the previous year, reaching $2.98. In 2024, this figure was $2.91.
In strategic export markets, the highest average price for 1 liter of Georgian wine was recorded in the United States – $6.17, while the figures in China and Poland were $3.14 and $2.5, respectively.
Chairman of the National Wine Agency Levan Mekhuzla noted that the agency continues to actively work to further improve the quality of Georgian wine, which, in turn, should contribute to an increase in the average export price.
According to him, in a highly competitive global market, Georgian wine must be distinguished by its high quality and unique characteristics. "This care must begin at the vineyard stage and be consistently continued throughout the production process," L. Mekhuzla emphasized. –0–
