BEIJING, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) — The Party Group of the National People's Congress Standing Committee held a meeting on Wednesday to study an important speech delivered by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, at the fifth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
The meeting was chaired and addressed by Party Group Secretary Zhao Leji, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
During the meeting, it was noted that it is necessary to strengthen the sense of political responsibility and historical mission, fully utilize the role of the NPC, and contribute to a confident start to the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
Those present at the meeting also noted the importance of advancing legislative work related to the fight against corruption and called for deepening efforts to improve party style, form an incorruptible administrative apparatus, and combat corruption. –0–
