Caracas, January 12 (Xinhua) — Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodriguez met on Monday with representatives of the diplomatic corps of the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, according to Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto.
He described the talks as "frank" and said the participants discussed the state of bilateral relations and agreed on the importance of promoting productive ties and seeking deeper dialogue.
D. Rodriguez made it clear to diplomats that "within the framework of respect and equality of states," Venezuela "is ready to advance a new agenda" for the well-being of its people, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
He said Caracas also took this opportunity to assess the events of January 3, when Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were forcibly captured by the United States. –0–
