CARACAS, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) — Venezuelan Communications and Information Minister Freddy Niñez on Sunday called the US attack on the country earlier this month a "war crime."
At an international cultural event, F. Niñez emphasized the historical responsibility of the international cultural community in the face of escalating violence and the weakening of international law.
He said the stigma against Venezuela stems from economic interests linked to its natural resources, not ideological motives, and cited historical precedents of foreign interference in the affairs of other countries.
According to F. Niñez, hostility has intensified since 2019, when sanctions were imposed, covert operations and the illegal appropriation of Venezuelan assets began, but “Venezuela will not give in.” –0–
