HAVANA/WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) — Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Sunday criticized the United States for "criminal" behavior that threatens world peace, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump issued new warnings to Havana.
As B. Rodriguez pointed out on the social network X, Cuba has every right to import fuel from those markets that wish to export it, and has the right to develop trade relations without interference or submission to unilateral coercive measures by the United States.
According to the head of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the United States is behaving like a criminal and uncontrolled hegemon that threatens peace and security not only in Cuba and the Western Hemisphere, but throughout the entire planet.
Earlier on Sunday, D. Trump proposed that Cuba make a deal with Washington.
"No more oil or money will flow to Cuba, zero! I strongly urge them to make a deal before it's too late," the US president wrote on the social network TruthSocial.
