Washington, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday offered Cuba a deal with Washington.
"No more oil or money will flow to Cuba, zero! I strongly urge them to make a deal before it's too late," Trump wrote on the social network TruthSocial.
“Cuba has lived for many years on large volumes of oil and money from Venezuela,” the US president added.
In the early hours of January 3, the United States launched a large-scale military operation against Venezuela, forcibly capturing the country's president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife. This operation sparked condemnation and concern around the world.
Following the US military raid in Venezuela, D. Trump stated that "Cuba will be a topic we eventually talk about," and also warned Colombian President Gustavo Petro to be careful. –0–
