Cairo, January 10 (Xinhua) – Eleven people were killed and 10 others injured on Friday in a two-car collision on a desert highway in Egypt's Minya province, a local security source told Xinhua.
According to him, authorities received information about a serious collision between a truck and a pickup truck. Security forces and ambulances arrived at the scene, and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
The wreckage was removed from the road to restore traffic flow. A preliminary investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
