Pyongyang, January 9 (Xinhua) — North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said he will unconditionally respect and support the policies and decisions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Friday.

Kim Jong-un made the corresponding promise in a reply letter sent to his Russian counterpart on Thursday.

“I will absolutely respect and unconditionally support all the policies you pursue and the decisions you make, and I am ready to always stand with you and your Russia,” KCNA quoted the letter as saying.

“Our close cooperation will continue in various fields in accordance with the spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and the Russian Federation, the strategic interests of the two countries, and the aspirations and wishes of the two peoples,” Kim Jong-un noted.
