BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) — The Office of the Food Safety Commission of the State Council and the State Administration for Market Regulation said they will continue to strengthen supervision over the quality and safety of infant formula.
Nestle recently issued a precautionary recall of certain batches of its infant formula in several European countries.
In this regard, the above-mentioned departments demanded that Nestlé China conscientiously fulfill its corporate obligations, recall the relevant batches of dry infant formula from the Chinese market, and properly protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
