Almaty, January 6 (Xinhua) — In 2025, the oil refineries of Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) processed 17.46 million tons of crude oil, 0.7 million tons more than in 2024, the company's press service reported on Tuesday.
According to current data, 13.6 million tons of light petroleum products were produced in 2025, which is 1.18 million tons higher than the 2024 level and 1.55 million tons higher than the 2023 figures.
The yield of light petroleum products across all refineries reached 78%, which is 4% higher than the 2024 level. The oil refining depth for the year was 90%, an increase of 2.6% compared to the previous year.
A key achievement was record diesel fuel production of over 6.14 million tons, 850,000 tons more than in 2024, the report said. Gasoline production increased by 400,000 tons.
