BEIJING, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) — The United States, in defiance of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's status as head of state, openly carried out prosecutions and staged a so-called "trial" in its court, seriously violating Venezuela's national sovereignty and undermining the stability of international relations, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Tuesday.
