KUALA LUMPUR, January 6 (Xinhua) — Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad was hospitalized after falling at his home on Tuesday morning, his spokesman said.
The brief statement said that at 9:30 a.m. local time, Mahathir Mohamad was taken conscious to the National Heart Institute by ambulance.
"He fell this morning, and usually in such cases, observation in the hospital is required. He fell while crossing from one part of the balcony to the living room," the press secretary said.
