BANGKOK, July 24 (Xinhua) — Nine Thai civilians were killed and 14 others were injured in military attacks near the border with Cambodia on Thursday, the Thai military said in a statement.
Seven civilian targets in four provinces in northeastern Thailand were attacked with fire support weapons, damaging homes and businesses, crops and livestock, the statement said.
The situation escalated after clashes began early Thursday when Thai and Cambodian troops opened fire in the disputed area. –0–
