Vladivostok, July 24 (Xinhua) — There was a Chinese citizen on board the An-24 plane that crashed in Russia's Amur Region on Thursday, the Chinese Consulate General in Khabarovsk told Xinhua.
On Thursday at about 13:00 /07:00 Moscow time/ contact was lost with the crew of the An-24 aircraft of the Angara Airlines /Irkutsk/, which was flying from Khabarovsk to Blagoveshchensk to Tynda. While approaching the Tynda airport, the aircraft went into a second approach, after which contact with it was lost. The wreckage of the missing aircraft was found on a mountain slope 16 km from Tynda. According to preliminary data, everyone on board the aircraft died. –0–
