CHANGCHUN, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) — Russian king crabs will be delivered in batches to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) in southern China from the city of Changchun (capital of Northeast China's Jilin Province) by air transport, the Changchun city administration said.

Recently, a shipment of Russian Kamchatka red crabs weighing 8,500 kg, shipped from the Russian port of Zarubino via the bonded cargo facility in the border city of Hunchun, in the aforementioned province, arrived at the Xinglong bonded cargo facility in Changchun. There, the seafood will be loaded onto a plane and sent on the Changchun-Xianggang route recently launched by Hainan Airlines.

This event is the first practical result of the deepening cooperation between the cities of Hunchun and Changchun in the field of transit transportation of Kamchatka crabs, which will promote the further development of specific trade between Jilin Province and Russia in 2026.

Due to strict requirements for the timely transportation of Russian Kamchatka crabs, the above-mentioned bonded zones, with the active support of local customs services, have opened “green channels” and made every effort to ensure rapid customs clearance and safe storage of these seafood products. -0-
