LIBREVILLE, January 2 (Xinhua) — Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligi Nguema on Thursday announced the formation of a new 31-member government.
Cabinet reshuffles occurred following parliamentary and local elections held at the end of 2025. Several key departments, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the ministries of justice, oil industry, economy, and finance, received new leaders.
At the same time, the president retained several close allies in important government positions, including Ulrich Manfumbi Manfumbi as Minister of Transport, Merchant Marine and Logistics, Brigitte Onkanova as Minister of Defence and Camélia Ntutumé-Leclerc as Minister of Education.
The new government includes 11 women and 20 men. According to the Gabonese Constitution, the president is also the head of the cabinet. –0–
