Conakry, December 31 (Xinhua) — Guinea's transitional president, Mamady Doumbouya, won the presidential election held on December 28, according to preliminary results released Tuesday by the Directorate General of Elections.
Preliminary results showed that M. Dumbouya received 86.72 percent of the vote, winning by a wide margin over the other eight candidates. –0–
