Tbilisi, December 30 /Xinhua/ — Georgia's current account deficit in the first three quarters of 2025 narrowed to a historic low, amounting to 2.1 percent of GDP, the National Bank of Georgia (Central Bank) reported on Tuesday.

According to the regulator, the current account surplus was recorded in the third quarter at $338.8 million.

The Central Bank noted that the balance of services made a significant contribution to the improved indicators, in particular, the export of computer and information services increased significantly, as well as revenue from tourism.

The volume of foreign direct investment in the first three quarters of 2025 amounted to 4.7 percent of GDP. –0–
