BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) — China firmly opposes Israel's formal recognition of Somaliland as an "independent sovereign state" and Israel's signing of an agreement to "establish diplomatic relations" with it, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Monday.
Lin Jian made the statement at a regular departmental press conference, declaring that China firmly supports the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Somalia and opposes any steps that undermine the territorial integrity of this country. -0-
