Moscow, December 27 /Xinhua/ — From January to November of this year, the number of foreign trips within Russia has already exceeded 4.35 million, which is more than the level for the whole of last year, RIA Novosti reported on Saturday, citing Rosstat data.
In 2024, foreign tourists made 4.157 million tourist trips within Russia.
Moscow was the most popular destination among foreign visitors, with 2.3 million trips recorded. St. Petersburg, the Moscow Region, Primorsky Krai, and Krasnodar Krai were also among the most popular destinations.
Overall, the number of tourist trips within Russia in the first 11 months of 2025 increased by 4.5 percent year-on-year, reaching almost 82.9 million, compared to 79.3 million for the same period last year.
Most often, domestic tourists traveled to Moscow, the Krasnodar region, St. Petersburg, the Moscow region, and Tatarstan. –0–
