Tokyo, December 26 (Xinhua) — A man attacked workers with a knife and sprayed an unknown liquid in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, central Japan, on Friday, injuring 15 people, NHK reported, citing police and firefighters.

Around 4:30 PM local time, emergency services received a report of several people being stabbed at a Yokohama tire plant and a liquid spray inside the building. According to the fire department, 15 people were injured and are receiving treatment. All are conscious.

Police arrested a suspect, a 38-year-old man, at the scene. An investigation is underway.
