Moscow. December 26, 2025. Andrey Abrashitov, Director of the Kirov branch of JSC Apatit (PhosAgro Group), was awarded the Order "For Valiant Labor."
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a state awards ceremony in the Kremlin's Catherine Hall. During the ceremony, the Order "For Valiant Labor" was presented to Andrei Abrashitov, Director of the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC. The decree awarding the award was signed by the head of state in October of this year.
Andrey Abrashitov was born in 1974. He graduated from the Kirov Mining College with a degree in Ore Deposit Development, the Plekhanov St. Petersburg State Mining Institute with a degree in Underground Mining of Mineral Deposits, and the Modern Humanitarian Academy (Moscow) with a degree in Economics.
From 1991 to 2013, he worked at mining companies in Karelia and the Murmansk region. Andrey Abrashitov joined PhosAgro in 2013 as the head of the Kirov mine of JSC Apatit. From 2015 to 2017, he served as First Deputy General Director of JSC Apatit. Since 2017, Andrey Abrashitov has been the director of the Kirov branch of JSC Apatit.
Under the leadership of Andrey Abrashitov, PhosAgro's Kirov branch implemented a comprehensive set of investment projects to develop the plant's ore and raw material base. Specifically, the newly constructed Main Shaft No. 2 and the reconstructed Main Shaft No. 1 were commissioned at the Kirov mine. Their underground crushing facilities and headworks are designed to transport ore from the underground mine to the surface. Apatit's Kirov mine pioneered the implementation of a remote-controlled deep-hole drilling project in an underground mine in Russia. Crushing and Haulage Complex No. 4 was built at the Rasvumchorr mine, opening up the mine's potential for developing the western and central parts of the Rasvumchorr Plateau deposit. In March 2024, the 10-meter mining horizon of the Kirovsky mine was commissioned, enabling the extraction of approximately 300 million tons of apatite-nepheline ore. In December of this year, the new Rasvumchorr Plateau underground mine extracted its first ore, and its development will continue until 2034, when the facility will reach full capacity. Each of the two processing plants at the Kirovsky branch of JSC Apatit is also the subject of PhosAgro's large-scale investment projects aimed at increasing their productivity while maintaining the high quality of commercial concentrate.
Over the years, Andrei Abrashitov was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, Second Class, and the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Russian Federation.
"I am deeply grateful to the President of our country, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, for his high recognition of my work and contribution to the company's development. At the same time, I believe this award is further testimony to the achievements of every member of the thousands-strong team at the legendary Apatit. After all, it is their coordinated work and focus on results that allow us to set production records and implement large-scale development projects," emphasized Andrey Abrashitov, Director of the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC.
As a reminder, in November 2024, on the eve of the 95th anniversary of the Apatit Mining and Processing Plant, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding the enterprise's staff the Order "For Valiant Labor."
