Alexandra's AI-powered chatbot has begun answering user questions about ground transportation, trams, and personal mobility devices (PMDs). The neural network now processes 53 percent of the virtual assistant's knowledge base.
"Since the beginning of 2025, the virtual assistant has already answered 460,000 user questions using neural networks. Alexandra is the first transport assistant in the country based on two large language models. Thanks to a rating system for evaluating the neural networks' performance, users receive the most appropriate and accurate answer to their question. In accordance with the transport development strategy through 2030, approved by Sergei Sobyanin, we will continue to integrate artificial intelligence into our services and improve passenger comfort," noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
Artificial intelligence allows the virtual assistant to understand the essence of even unconventionally phrased questions. Thanks to neural networks, the assistant maintains meaningful dialogue, remembers the context of the conversation and the user's previous requests, and with each new interaction, the system becomes more accurate and useful—it's constantly evolving.
Alexandra, the virtual assistant, leverages AI to provide users with up-to-date information about Moscow's transportation system. She can provide information on the metro, Moscow Central Circle (MCC), Moscow Central Diameters (MCD), commuter trains, Aeroexpress, taxis, car sharing, and regular river transport. Furthermore, the assistant uses neural networks to provide advice on a wide range of issues, from bus station operations and road conditions to public transportation regulations, advertising placement, navigation, and passenger services.
Alexandra is also capable of engaging in casual conversation. For example, she can share her favorite books, hobbies, and dreams, making communication with the user more lively and personalized.
