Moscow, December 24 /Xinhua/ — The coming year will be marked by a further significant improvement in relations between Russia and China. This opinion was expressed by Boris Titov, Special Presidential Representative for Liaison with International Organizations to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals and Chairman of the Russian Section of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace, and Development, in an interview with Xinhua. During a press conference in Moscow, he summarized the results of 2025 and shared his expectations for the coming year.
"There's still plenty of room for improvement in 2026. We'll expand our committee's work, holding more and more joint events in sports, culture, medicine, and business," he promised.
B. Titov emphasized that relations between Russia and China continued to deepen in 2025. Moreover, qualitative changes have occurred not only in Russian-Chinese relations but also between the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS.
"Today, our countries have finally established the most important thing: that we must develop independently, that the world is multipolar, and that everyone must first and foremost develop their own economy and be economically sovereign. But it's much more profitable to do this with those who don't create problems, but rather support each other," the Xinhua source noted.
The year that is ending was very successful for the development of Russian-Chinese relations, which are based on the long-standing friendship between the countries and their peoples, noted the special representative of the Russian president. –0–
