A delegation from the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering participated in the 11th Annual International BIM Forum "WINTER'25," which became a key professional platform for discussing the development of information modeling (BIM) technologies and training specialists for the digital transformation of the construction industry.

The SPbGASU delegation included faculty from the Department of Information and Mathematical Modeling Technologies: Acting Head of the Department Alena Vedernikova, senior lecturers Alexandra Masyonene and Elena Maznyak, and Olga Svetlova, a leading specialist at the university's Project-Based Learning Educational Center.

As part of the forum's business program, Alena Vedernikova and Olga Svetlova presented a report entitled "TIM Projects: The Secret Ingredients of Personnel Training." In their presentation, the speakers discussed the improvement of curricula for training TIM specialists, as well as extracurricular project activities aimed at developing in-demand competencies in digital design and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The presentation focused on the collaboration of students from various fields through project work, the implementation of complex TIM thesis projects, and the university's successful collaboration with industrial partners. New opportunities for expanding partnerships with accredited IT companies interested in training specialists for the industry were also presented.

According to Olga Svetlova, the topic presented generated keen interest among forum participants and the professional community in SPbGASU's educational initiatives and the university's practice-oriented approach to training personnel in the field of TIM.
