SEOUL, December 23 (Xinhua) — The launch of South Korea's first commercial launch vehicle failed due to problems after takeoff, the Newsis news agency reported on Tuesday.

The Hanbit-Nano rocket, developed by Innospace, was launched at around 10:13 local time from Brazil's Alcântara Space Center.

According to Newsis, the rocket malfunctioned. It is believed to have broken apart and exploded after takeoff.
