BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — The number of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in China exceeded 19.32 million units by the end of November this year, up 52 percent from a year earlier, official data showed on Tuesday.
In particular, the number of public charging stations increased by 36 percent year-on-year to 4.63 million units, while private ones increased by 57.8 percent year-on-year to 14.7 million units, the State Energy Administration of China reported.
According to data, the total rated capacity of public charging stations for electric vehicles reached 210 million kW by the end of November.
In October this year, the Chinese government unveiled a three-year action plan for the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, aiming to establish a nationwide network of 28 million chargers with a total capacity of over 300 million kW by the end of 2027. -0-
