The above events are part of the 22nd International Ice and Snow Festival, which includes China, Russia, and Mongolia. It also kicked off on December 20 and will run until early January 2026. They seamlessly combine food demonstrations, performances by intangible cultural heritage artists, and interactive visitor programs, providing a high-quality platform for industry exchanges and mutual learning, as well as offering the best experiences for Chinese and international tourists.
The opening event featured a variety of Russian dishes and unique products, fully showcasing the unique charm of Russian culinary culture. Each booth featured exotic decorative elements. Employees, dressed in traditional costumes, enthusiastically explained the preparation techniques and history of the dishes, attracting a large crowd of both locals and tourists.
In addition to delicacies on display, a special area dedicated to intangible cultural heritage was created at the events. Intangible cultural heritage heirs from China, Russia, and Mongolia demonstrated their unique skills and folklore to the audience and interacted with them. Furthermore, the opening events featured wonderful literary and artistic performances, which brought a wealth of positive emotions to city residents and visitors.
The Manzhouli City Administration noted that holding the above-mentioned events has enriched the program of the China-Russia-Mongolia International Ice and Snow Festival, given new impetus to the development of winter cultural tourism in Manzhouli, and created an important platform for cultural exchanges between China, Russia and Mongolia.
In the future, city authorities plan to further leverage this opportunity to promote the integrated and high-quality development of culture, tourism, and the food industry, and to make Manzhouli even more attractive to tourists, according to a statement from the city administration.
