KUALA LUMPUR, December 22 (Xinhua) — Thailand welcomes the resumption of ceasefire discussions between Thailand and Cambodia and intends to discuss the details of the truce at its next meeting with Cambodia on December 24. This was announced by Thai Foreign Minister Sikhasak Phuangketkaew on Monday following a special meeting of foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Speaking at a press briefing after a special meeting held to resolve the ongoing conflict, Sikhasak Phuangketkeo noted that Thailand expects relevant issues to be resolved through bilateral channels, adding that ceasefire negotiations will be conducted within the framework of the General Boundary Committee.
