Kyiv, December 22 (Xinhua) — The latest round of talks on settling the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, which took place in Florida from December 19-21 with the participation of Ukraine, the United States, and Europe, was "productive" and "constructive," Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated on Facebook on Monday night.
R. Umerov noted that, in addition to himself, the Ukrainian delegation included Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Andriy Gnatov. The United States was represented at the talks by President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff, the White House's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and US administration official Josh Gruenbaum.
Key national security advisers from European countries also joined the discussions to agree on a common strategic approach between Ukraine, the United States, and Europe.
A separate meeting between Ukrainian and American representatives was held. The focus was on continuing the development of the 20-point peace plan, coordinating positions on the multilateral framework agreement on security guarantees and the bilateral agreement on security guarantees from the United States, and further discussing Ukraine's economic development plan.
