BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) — As of Dec. 15, the number of vehicles passing through the Suifenhe Port of Suifenhe in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province reached a record high of over 120,000 units since the beginning of 2025, up more than 26 percent year-on-year, according to a statement posted on the city government's website on Friday.
Against the backdrop of increasing international trade and economic exchanges and high demand for cross-border logistics, Suifenhe Port has been paying close attention to the needs of foreign trade companies and making active efforts to improve the efficiency of customs inspection.
In order to more effectively respond to the continuous increase in cargo turnover through the Suifenhe Port, the local border control agency, through scientifically and dynamically adjusting the deployment of police forces, has taken a series of measures, including the timely opening of additional inspection and release channels for trucks, optimizing the customs clearance procedure for trucks, and the use of advanced vehicle body inspection equipment, which has ensured the safe and smooth customs clearance of trucks. -0-
