The Moscow Metro has launched a New Year's "Numbered" train. It operates on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line.
The exterior of the carriages is decorated in winter colors—a rich blue with gradients, creating the effect of snowy haze and frosty air. Inside, the train is decorated with fluffy fir branches, toy balls, and garlands.
"At Sergei Sobyanin's request, we traditionally decorate public transport for the New Year to create a festive atmosphere for passengers. For example, the New Year's 'Numbered' bus features approximately 80 artificial fir branches and over 1,000 Christmas balls. We reuse all decorative elements over several years. This helps conserve resources," noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
New Year's decorations have also appeared on metro stationsAt Trubnaya, large three-dimensional figures were installed in the shape of Christmas tree decorations, gift boxes, snowmen, bells, and illuminated balls. Festive photo zones were set up at Mayakovskaya and Michurinsky Prospekt. Three-dimensional illuminated elements in the shape of New Year's decorations and the Moscow Transport logo were placed on the façade of Krasnopresnenskaya station.
