WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) — The U.S. Senate on Wednesday approved the $901 billion defense budget bill, known as the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026, and sent it to U.S. President Donald Trump for his signature.

The bill received broad bipartisan support, with 77 senators voting in favor and 20 against.

"This will be the 65th consecutive year that all parties and both houses of Congress will come together to send the president legislation aimed at maintaining and strengthening our national defense," Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker said before the vote. -0-
