Moscow, December 17 (Xinhua) — The number of Russian trips to China increased by 26 percent in 2025, Dmitry Gorin, vice president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI), announced at a press conference on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports.
By the end of 2025, approximately 14 million Russians will visit foreign countries for tourism purposes, reported D. Gorin. This is 14 percent more than the previous year. Moreover, approximately 8 million Russian citizens took advantage of package tours this year.
According to the Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUT), foreign airlines are helping Russia develop outbound tourism. In 2025, 4 million Russian passengers used their services.
As D. Gorin noted, Turkey is the most popular destination for tourists from Russia, with up to 7 million Russians expected to visit it in 2025. Trips to Egypt increased by 36 percent, and to Thailand by 10 percent. Trips to Vietnam increased by 173 percent year-on-year, driven by international air travel.
