Kyiv, December 17 (Xinhua) — Over 162 million tons of cargo, including over 98 million tons of grain, have been transported through the alternative corridor opened by Ukraine in the Black Sea in August 2023. This was reported on Tuesday by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, citing Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
According to him, in just over two years, nearly 7,000 vessels have used the sea corridor. Thanks to this alternative route, Ukrainian agricultural products have been delivered to 55 countries.
A. Kuleba stated that Ukraine continues to contribute to global food security. –0–
