Specialists urban economy complex Three public gardens in the southeast of the capital have been renovated as part of a beautification program, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow. Petr Biryukov.
"This year, we completed improvement work on over 80 key sites, including parks, squares, boulevards, plazas, and public spaces located near major metro stations, shopping centers, medical facilities, schools, and kindergartens. As part of the program, we renovated three squares in the Lefortovo district, creating new, comfortable spaces for relaxation and exercise," noted Pyotr Biryukov.
The park's walkway surfaces were repaired, benches and swings were installed, and additional landscaping was added. For public safety, new lighting poles with energy-efficient fixtures were installed, and a video surveillance system was installed.
Specialists also renovated the Hospital Square next to the N.N. Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital. They installed architectural and artistic lighting on the monument to the heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812, replaced the granite steps at the entrance to the square and the pavement on the pedestrian walkways, and installed park swings.
Additionally, improvements were made to the park near the Aviamotornaya station on the Third Moscow Central Diameter. Pedestrian paths and lighting were updated, and a workout area with strength training equipment was created.
Work to create a comfortable urban environment is ongoing. Last year, for example, Lefortovo renovated the 65th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War Square and the Krasnokursantsky Square.
