Bishkek, December 15 /Xinhua/ — Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) in January-November 2025, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 1.6 trillion soms (more than 18.6 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 10.2 percent compared to January-November last year, the country's National Statistical Committee reported on Monday.

GDP growth was driven by commodity production, services, and net taxes on products. Compared to January-November of last year, growth rates for commodity production increased by 12%, for services by 8.9%, and for net taxes on products by 10.5%. Of total GDP, the service sector accounted for 49.3%, commodity production for 35.3%, and net taxes on products for 15.4%.

Over the first 11 months of this year, the volume of industrial output increased by 10 percent, in construction the growth was 29 percent, in wholesale and retail trade – 9.5 percent, in agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 2 percent, in the hotel and restaurant services sector – 15.6 percent, the volume of freight transportation by all modes of transport increased by 11.9 percent.

It is noted that in January-November of this year, compared to December of the previous year, the increase in consumer prices and tariffs in the republic as a whole amounted to 8.3%.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign and mutual trade volume in January-October 2025 amounted to USD 12.8 billion, a 10.6 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2024. Exports decreased by 38.2 percent, and imports by 0.3 percent.
