The Committee for Science and Higher Education of the Government of St. Petersburg has announced the results of the 2025 grant competition for students at universities located in St. Petersburg, as well as postgraduate students at universities, industry-specific, and academic institutes located in St. Petersburg. Among the winners were representatives of the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The competition is held annually as part of the St. Petersburg Assembly of Young Scientists and Specialists. Its goal is to support scientific, innovative, and educational activities aimed at solving the city's pressing challenges and developing urban technologies.
On December 11, the ceremonial meeting of the 28th St. Petersburg Assembly of Young Scientists and Specialists took place at the Gorny Multifunctional Complex of the St. Petersburg Mining University. The meeting traditionally included the awarding of grants, the honoring of the winners, and the presentation of the most significant research projects. SPbGASU was represented by Rector Evgeny Rybnov, Vice Rector for Research Evgeny Korolev, Student Scientific Society Curator Timur Ablyazov, Dean of the Automobile and Road Engineering Faculty Andrey Zazykin, and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport Elena Ivanova.
The following were among the winners of the grant competition from SPbGASU:
Anastasia Kaledina, postgraduate student of the Department of Urban Planning, received support for the project "Urban development of group medical forms based on the work area of physicians of scientific and educational medical centers (using St. Petersburg as an example)"; Alina Kvashuk, senior lecturer, graduate of the postgraduate program of the Department of Geotechnics, received support for the project "Study of changes in the parameters of the stress-strain state of sandy foundations exposed to pollution by oil and oil products"; Ekaterina Zhelnina, second-year master's student of the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport, received support for the project "Minimization of legal barriers to entrepreneurs operating in non-stationary trading facilities"; Karina Sarkisova, second-year master's student of the Faculty of Automobile and Highway Engineering, received support for the project "Development of a method for a comprehensive assessment of the transport accessibility of new residential areas of megacities used to implement an integration platform"; Kirill Sokolov, a graduate of the Master's program in the Faculty of Automobile and Road Construction, received support for his project "Organization of a centralized site for the diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of bus air conditioning systems."
The following individuals have become recipients of the St. Petersburg Government scholarships:
Denis Astapov, fourth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport; Ivan Beshentsev, fourth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Automobile and Highway Engineering; Alina Vasilyeva, fourth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Architecture; Irina Zaplatkina, fifth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Architecture; Anastasia Zolotareva, second-year master's student of the Faculty of Architecture; Margarita Kotikova, fifth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Architecture; Sofia Krivdina, fifth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Architecture; Ekaterina Plenkina, second-year master's student of the Faculty of Architecture.
