On December 12 and 13, young scientists from the State University of Management participated in the IV All-Russian Forum of Technological Entrepreneurship "TechPred-2025," organized by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
The University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform's flagship event featured a packed program focusing on support measures and accelerating the market entry of startups that meet national technology priorities.
At the sessions, government, academic, and business representatives, investors, and young entrepreneurs discussed the roadmap for the federal "Technology" project, university cooperation with leading industry companies, the creation of a startup ecosystem, successful technology transfer models, and prospects for transforming the technology industry in the face of global challenges.
The SMU business program was represented by Dmitry Rogov, Director of the Business Incubator; Anna Sotnikova, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Junior Research Fellow in the Scientific Activities Department of the Scientific Research Coordination Office; Vladimir Kutkov and Nikita Akinshin, specialists from the Engineering Project Management Center; and Mikhail Zorin, winner of the 2025 Student Startup competition and resident of the Academy of Innovators.
The central event of the TechPred-2025 forum was the plenary discussion "The Superposition Principle: Towards a Technological Breakthrough by Joining Efforts."
The event was opened by Antony Shvindt, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Government Commission for Scientific and Technological Development of Russia, who read a welcoming speech from Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Following this, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, addressed the forum's guests:
"Since 2022, the number of participants, including young entrepreneurs, investors, and university representatives, has quadrupled. Most of the people brought together by the forum today are active participants in the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform" program. You are, in many ways, shaping the culture of technological entrepreneurship in modern Russia. Thanks to your coordinated teamwork, nearly 5,000 startups have registered with the Platform over the past three years, with total revenue exceeding 2.8 billion rubles."
At a plenary session featuring Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Olga Petrova and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maxim Kolesnikov, experts discussed the prospects for the development of the federal "Technology" project, the role of the ITC in implementing technological cooperation maps, stimulating demand for university startups from corporations and large industrial companies, and current support measures and tools for motivating young scientists, engineers, and technology entrepreneurs to engage in innovative activities.
Another key event of the forum's first day was the Demo Day for the seventh cohort of the "Innovators' Academy" accelerator of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development. The founders of the ten best startups presented their technological solutions to an expert jury, corporate executives, and business angels, and received their first investments. SUMU also stepped up its efforts – for the second year in a row, our students have been volunteering at the Academy's Demo Day. This allows young managers not only to learn about best practices and developments in technology innovation but also to contribute to the organization of such a large-scale event.
It's important to note that our university actively participates in projects within the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. SUM conducts entrepreneurial skills training, implements acceleration programs for NTI markets, and for the past two years, our students have won the Student Startup competition organized by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE), and their projects have been included in the All-Russian ranking of the TOP-1000 university startups. This year was no exception. The list of top projects, selected in key technology areas, included startups HolterTECH (a wearable heart rate monitor with ECG recording technology, developed by Mikhail Zorin) and Clynn (a device for sterile and convenient delivery of Vaseline with precise dosing for tattoo artists, developed by Varvara Karamysheva). As a reminder, both projects won the Student Startup competition this year, and their founders received grants totaling 1 million rubles from the FASIE.
