Beijing, December 13 /Xinhua/ — On Friday, the Russian Embassy in China hosted an event entitled "Discover Russia," which included a presentation and tasting of Russian agricultural products and a fashion show by Russian designers.

The event, organized by the Russian Export Center (REC), was aimed at promoting Russian products under the national brand “Made in Russia.”

More than 10 agricultural enterprises were represented, showcasing their meat and dairy products, Kamchatka crabs, chocolate, and more. Guests were also treated to tasting sets, allowing them to "taste Russia" in the truest sense of the word.

The fashion show featured collections from more than 20 Russian brands, demonstrating Russia's deep and distinctive culture and the export potential of its creative industry.

During the event, Russian business representatives also held business negotiations with potential partners from China.

"Chinese people are well-versed in Russian culture, literature, music, history, and geography, and today we'll show you areas that may be less familiar, but are precisely what Russians love to eat and wear," said Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov. "We're essentially opening up a piece of our soul to you, showing you our most intimate side."

According to Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the Russian Export Center, the event is truly unique due to its unusual format. "The goal of our event is to demonstrate that Russia is very diverse, rich in traditions, history, and goods."

V. Nikishina added that over the past two years, the Russian Export Center has held "Made in Russia" festivals and fairs in various regions of China.

“We are very pleased that our export products are finding buyers and long-term business partners in China, allowing us to establish mutually beneficial business relationships and create consumer emotions,” she said. -0-
