SHANGHAI, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) — The 2025 Shanghai-Taipei Inter-City Forum will open in Shanghai on Dec. 28.

This year's forum, titled "Science and Technology Transforming Life," will focus on discussing and sharing experiences in healthcare, rail transport, and other sectors, the Shanghai municipal government said.

The event is expected to see the signing of new memoranda aimed at strengthening ties and cooperation between the two cities.

The "Two Cities Forum" has been held alternately in Shanghai and Taipei since 2010 as an important platform for dialogue aimed at strengthening cross-strait cooperation. To date, the two cities have signed 47 memorandums of understanding on exchanges and cooperation.
