BEIJING, December 11 (Xinhua) — China's auto industry maintained strong growth momentum, with vehicle production and sales exceeding 31 million units in the first 11 months of this year, according to data released Thursday by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
According to CAAM data, China's auto output increased by 11.9 percent year-on-year to more than 31.23 million units from January to November, while sales reached nearly 31.13 million units, up 11.4 percent from a year earlier.
During the reporting period, production and sales of new energy vehicles in China reached 14.907 million units and 14.78 million units, respectively, up 31.4 percent and 31.2 percent year-on-year, the data showed. -0-
