BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) — China and the United States should continuously expand the list of cooperation and reduce the list of problems between the two sides, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng stressed on Tuesday.
He Lifeng, also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, made the statement during a meeting in Beijing with Craig Allen, a senior adviser to the consulting firm Cohen Group.
As the Vice Premier of the State Council noted, since the beginning of this year, the leaders of China and the United States have held several telephone conversations and a successful meeting in Busan, Republic of Korea, reaching a number of important agreements.
According to He Lifeng, the two sides should maintain the momentum of cooperation under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state.
He emphasized that China is currently preparing to enter the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030) and intends to further expand its high-level opening-up. The Vice Premier welcomed greater participation by American enterprises in investment and commercial activities in China to promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US trade and economic ties.
K. Allen, for his part, expressed his readiness to act as a bridge for further deepening economic and trade cooperation between the United States and China. –0–
