The agreement was reached during a visit by a Holding delegation led by CEO Alexander Zharov to the Arabian Radio Network (ARN) headquarters in Dubai.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to develop joint production projects, a marketing strategy for promoting Russian cinema in the Dubai market, and the joint development of Russian-language broadcasting channels in the UAE.
Also during the visit, Gazprom-Media Holding CEO Alexander Zharov gave an interview to the Arab Radio Network's Dubai Eye radio station, where he spoke to listeners about the Holding's activities in Russia and initiatives related to the UAE.
The Gazprom-Media Holding delegation's visit took place ahead of the first Russian-UAE business forum, organized by the Russian-UAE Business Council with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Marathon investment group.
