BANGKOK, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) — About 70 percent of civilians in four provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border had been evacuated as of 6:00 a.m. local time Monday, the Thai Army's Second Military Region said in a statement.

According to the statement, 35,623 people were registered in temporary shelters, and those not in shelters are likely staying with relatives or are still in transit.
