BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) — The crew members of the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft aboard China's space station will conduct their first spacewalk in the coming days, the China Manned Space Administration (CMSA) said Thursday.
Since November 1, when the Shenzhou-21 crew entered the orbital space station, the astronauts have completed tasks such as crew rotation, space station platform maintenance, emergency supply inspection and organization, and life and health support tasks.
CMSA said the crew had completed emergency response training and robotic arm training in orbit, adding that all planned space science experiment tasks were progressing steadily.
After the arrival of the Shenzhou-22 spacecraft, the crew tested and systematized new supplies.
The Shenzhou-21 crew is in good health, and the space station is operating normally, providing optimal conditions for spacewalks, the CMSA noted. -0-
