Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev took part in a ceremony marking the 160th anniversary of the Russian State Agrarian University – Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy.
Dmitry Patrushev read out a congratulatory message from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that since its establishment, the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy has consistently served the interests of the agro-industrial complex at every stage of the country's development. The university has always been an active participant in reforms aimed at strengthening the position of agriculture.
"You have trained over 200,000 specialists who have made a significant contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex. The achievements of many of them are etched in gold into the history of the industry, not only in Russia but also in our partner countries. Today, the university is successfully nurturing a new generation of agricultural professionals, effectively responding to the needs of the agro-industrial complex, and introducing new, relevant training areas. The university supports the development of science and participates in the creation of promising research projects. You have your own world-class research center and other hubs for realizing the potential of young, passionate professionals. I sincerely congratulate you on your anniversary! 160 years is just the beginning," said Dmitry Patrushev.
By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the staff of Timiryazev Academy was awarded the Order "For Valiant Labor" for many years of dedicated work. Dmitry Patrushev presented the award to the university's rector, Vladimir Trukhachev.
The gala event at the State Kremlin Palace brought together faculty, students, and graduates. The university's history, achievements, and future were presented on stage. Today, Timiryazev Academy is a flagship of agricultural education in Russia, carefully preserving traditions, advancing science, and confidently moving forward.
