In December, the capital will host the fourth children's winter chess tournament "Moscow Sport" and the second stage of the "Sputnik" cycling race, as well as races. The events will be held with the support of the Moscow Department of Sports.

The Moscow Sport chess tournament will take place from December 5th to 7th. It will be held for the first time at the Dynamo Volleyball Arena, located at 13 Vasilisy Kozhina Street.

The competition program traditionally includes three tournaments that will bring together more than 400 young athletes of different age groups.

Thus, tournament A will be attended by boys and girls born in 2011 and younger, tournament B will be attended by boys and girls under 13 years old, and tournament C will be attended by children under nine years old.

On December 7 at 11:30 a.m., a colorful New Year's performance will take place before the finals. An awards ceremony will follow the competition.

On Saturday, December 6, the Krylatskoye track (10 Krylatskaya Street, Building 1) will host mass competitions as part of the second stage of the Sputnik track cycling race. Participants will demonstrate their skills in disciplines such as the 2,000-meter dual pursuit, scratch and points races, dual standing sprint, and keirin (three runs). Muscovites will also be able to compete in running. Alongside the races, starting at 4:00 PM, the cycling track will host one-mile (1.61 kilometer) races for athletes of varying skill levels. The best runners will receive awards.
