"We stopped the closure of enterprises. Many industrial enterprises were just paper companies. Of those that were operational, if we take the overall figures, there were about 10 million square meters of industrial enterprises. Today, Moscow already has 13 million square meters. And by 2030, we want to increase this to 25 million, meaning we will experience a new industrialization of our capital, Moscow. This will be primarily high-tech production with good added value and good wages," the Moscow Mayor emphasized.
A large-scale program is currently being implemented to support and develop Moscow's industry, including investors interested in creating jobs under special contracts. Industry is growing thanks to the integrated territorial development mechanism, as well as through special economic zones. According to Sergei Sobyanin, all this allows for the creation of a core of new industry not only in Moscow but also across the country.
