BEIJING, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) — China firmly opposes any form of official contact between the United States and the Chinese region of Taiwan, and urges the U.S. side to stop official contact with the island and refrain from sending any wrong signals to separatist forces seeking "Taiwan independence," a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said Wednesday.
